I had a recently problem with UPS here in Germany, too.

I awaited an order from a T-shirt seller and this one day, I got an UPS missed delivery order in my letter box.

So I assumed, they would deliver the next day or give it then to the neighbours, because no 2nd and no "final try" were checked in the form.

One day later, I found another note in my box, that delivery had failed - this time 2nd delivery attempt was checked.

The next day, I pinned a procuration on my mailbox, for the shop next door to my entrance to deliver the parcel there.

When I got home from work this evening, I was happy to find the note removed, but was surprised to find another missed delivery note in my letter box - this time with "final try" checked on note.

When I checked order tracking, I had to discover, that they drove the parcel like 3 times round-trip to a 60km away logistic centre.

So I called UPS hotline and asked for the reasons for this to happen and why my procuration was ignored (the note was also gone from letter box). The customer service told me, that I never needed a procuration because it was a simple parcel.

What they couldnt tell me was, why my note wasnt followed or why the driver didnt deliver to the neighbourhood (20 parties house!).

FInally customer service left a personal note in the system software and the next day I could receive my parcel from the shop in fronthouse.

It had a HANDWRITTEN note on it, to deliver it to this said shop ;-)
