Battlestar Galactica Atmospheric Jump Photos: Season 3 Episode 4
The one thing I love about Battlestar Galactica is that it’s so heroic!
Unlike other TV shows, its characters actually care about each other enough to do crazy things, like jump their battleships inside a planet’s atmosphere to deploy air cover. Which results in massively impressive visuals of the Battlestar Galactica herself falling and burning up in atmosphere–where a spaceship probably should never go–in order to rescue her people. Wow.

Apparently nerds around the country found it good enough to digg this movie clip of it on YouTube:
If I captained those ships, I’d have done it a Season and a half ago out of sheer craziness.

Simple epic
Hey, that’s my vid! It was dugg? Awesome.
Man ….. no coments …. that was such fracking awesome !!!! I wish many other scifi series provide such quality and stories like we see in the new Galactica …. producers just put their name in scifi history !! Thanks so fracking much for producing this new BSG series, guys !!!
I am really relieved to find that I’m not the only one who thought the ‘fiery lead balloon’ (as one person so perfectly called it) sequence was so frakking brilliant it’s burned into my brain. Amazing.
This is probably one of the coolest and unexpected thing i have ever had the pleasure of watching. it was SUPER, SMASHING, GRATE and i am going to go and watch it again.
poop!
You’ll laugh, but I actually found this blog by googling Battlestar Viper FTL jump. I wanted to make sure that as many people as me found that to be sheer brilliance. In my annals of Sci-fi, I have to put that scene in realy around the top 3, I just can’t think of anything that was that exciting, had that much hanging in the air (plot predictability wise) and was just so DAMN beautiful. Really, the makers of the show were I’m sure VERY proud of that. Like, they might still be showing their grandkids that scene in 30 years. I challenge anyone to come up with a 20 second clip of sci-fi that harnessed that much excitment, human interest, (important) sci-fiesque realism, and amazing computer/ and or model work. 2001/ Thus spake Tharathusztra…Honestly… anything else?
I liked the miniseries, then watched Season 1. In Germany they are really lazy with scifi dvd releases; wondering why people run azureus and the like.
We all watched it! It was grand! We especially liked the part when the pegasus jump in to save the galactica.
