You might want to read about Keith Olbermann before you reach a conclusion. As someone who lives in a county that neighbors some of the ones in question (except that we now have a majority of residents registered as Republicans), I can attest from personal knowledge that Democrats in Florida tend to learn more toward traditional Democratic values than their Northern Cousins.
